Pegasus Opera's Production: The Magic Flute
The Magic Flute
Summer 1999
The Magic Flute with its starkly opposing forces of good and evil, dark and light, love and hate, responds to a setting in the luxuriant steamy atmosphere of the tropics. This exciting production combines pantomime and illusion, visual gags and puffs of smoke to create a carnival atmosphere.
Who will win the battle between The Queen of The Night and Sarasto?
Will the lovers Tamino and Pamina ever get to meet each other?
And the birdcatcher Papageno, how can he overcome his lot in life and find true happiness?
It was better than Eastenders!
