The work of Pegasus Opera Company is supported and directed by a dedicated Board of Trustees. Meeting at least 6 times per year, the board consists of experienced professionals in the worlds of marketing, finance, law and business, as well as the arts and music.
The board also seeks to embody the values and aspirations of Pegasus in its membership, and we are grateful to all of them
for their time and commitment.
Carmen Morris-Coulson
Carmen Morris-Coulson, Director of Plan My Life, a marketing and lifestyle management company has over 10 years experience in the arts. Using her skills, developed as a Marketing & Audience Development Manager at Unicorn Theatre and Box Office Manager at Chicken Shed Theatre, she supports her diverse portfolio of commercial clients to market and grow their businesses. Carmen's interest in opera was sparked by a school visit at the aged of 16 and believes opera can be relevant to all people. Carmen interned at San Francisco Opera and English Touring Opera whilst studying for an MA Arts Administration.
Lloyd Newton
Lloyd was a nominee for the Creative Britons award in 1998 & 1999 and also received a certificate in recognition for his outstanding contribution to the BME communities at Local and National levels from The Voice News Paper.He is the Founder and Artistic Director of Pegasus Opera Company, the leading mid-scale professional touring opera company in the UK now in its 19th Year.
Uzo Onwere
Uzo is a lawyer specialising in International Capital Market transactions and advises Pegasus on legal matters.
Ted Townsend
Ted Townsend joined the board in March 2006, and was recently appointed chair. Originally from Canada, he started his career in London as a strategy consultant, followed by a time as an investment banker, and most recently as a commercial magazine publisher.
